Afternoon/Evening Custodian – Part-Time
St. Anthony High School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our custodial team.
Job Description
As an afternoon/evening custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school’s daily and weekly janitorial needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dusting
- Emptying trash
- Moving furniture to include tables, desks, chairs, and other classroom or office furniture
- Cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and floors in bathrooms
- Cleaning stairwells and dusting handrails
- Restocking paper supplies – toilet paper, hand towels
- Clean bleachers and gym floors
- Cleaning chairs, tables, and floors in lunch room
- Operate automatic scrubber
- Operate automatic floor sweeper
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive and friendly demeanor
Hours
Time involved would be between 15-20 hours per week, divided into three to four hours of work daily, Monday – Friday. The time of afternoon/evening is flexible and would be determined at the time of hire. Hours would follow the school schedule from August through May, with increased flexibility during the summer months of June and July. Specific hours will vary based on school calendar and operational needs.
