Grades K-2
Beginning in the primary grades, students receive the building blocks of their education. Students are encouraged to develop a love of learning as they develop a solid base of fundamental academic skills in the form of reading, writing, phonics, mathematics, science, art, and humanities.
Our students apply these fundamental skills to learn more about the world God created for us all. Along with focused learning, primary grade students also enjoy time for social development, technology exploration, and creative expression.
Throughout their primary experience, students develop an understanding of their Catholic faith. Our second-grade students have the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Grades 3-5
Intermediate students build upon a solid foundation from their primary instructors. Teachers in Intermediate level grades focus on developing strong communication and reading comprehension skills with the students. Students are encouraged to read for both enjoyment and learning purposes and then taught to effectively communicate the lessons they have learned both orally and in written form.
Mathematics, technology integration, and critical thinking skills are also emphasized and accelerated during this intermediate period. Students learn to be more responsible and independent in their time management and study skills.
Throughout the year, third-grade students prepare to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit when celebrating the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
Grades 6-8
Academically, the focus for junior high is to prepare the students to have a successful high school experience. The curriculum is focused around advancing communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Students’ reading comprehension levels are also challenged with more advanced vocabulary development and more complex concepts.
Spiritually, our students are also encouraged to advance their understanding of the teachings of the Catholic faith.
