Preschool Paraprofessional – Part-Time

St. Anthony Preschool

St. Anthony Preschool is seeking caring, dependable, and faith-filled individuals to serve as Part-Time Preschool Paraprofessionals (Aides) for our 4-year-old Pre-K program. These positions support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children.

We currently have multiple part-time openings and are seeking 2–3 individuals to support our morning and afternoon Pre-K classrooms on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays.

Available Positions

Pre-K 4-Year-Old Aide Positions:

  • Morning Aide: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
  • Afternoon Aide: 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Afternoon Aide: 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

(Schedules may be filled by two or three individuals depending on candidate availability.)


Position Summary

The Preschool Paraprofessional supports the classroom teacher in providing a positive, faith-based learning environment for preschool students. This role assists with classroom activities, supervision, and daily routines that promote early childhood development and school readiness.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities
  • Help prepare and organize classroom materials and learning centers
  • Support children with routines such as arrival, dismissal, handwashing, and clean-up
  • Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to students
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Assist with student supervision during indoor and outdoor activities
  • Model kindness, patience, and Christian values in all interactions
  • Support the mission and Catholic identity of St. Anthony Schools

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Experience working with preschool or young children preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, organized, and patient
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and genuine care for young children
  • Willingness to support the Catholic mission, vision, and values of St. Anthony Schools

 

Compensation

  • $15.50/hour
  • Part-time hourly position
  • School-year schedule aligned with the academic calendar
